Michigan trip
My husband and I were off on a trip to Michigan last week, hence no postings.
Robin has finished several projects that she will hopefully share with everyone. She is off on a trip to England for a friend's wedding, so the sharing may be a while. Especially since when she gets back, she and her husband are moving down south. Sigh, I'll miss her terribly. She'll just have to keep me up to date on-line.
What have I been working on? Not much right now. I am spinning my rainbow yarn and knitting a couple baby things that I can't tell anyone about. Or at least not what exactly I am doing.
Oh yeah, I washed two pounds of wool fiber I had purchased a while back, in fleece form. I had purchased a pound of black rambouillet x cormo wool off Ebay. I won't be doing that again. The seller said it had very little vegetable matter. It had tons of vegetable matter and is not worth my time or effort to clean up. I washed it and got most of the lanolin and dirt out, but not the plant matter. Ugh! On the other hand though, the pound of Finn I purchased from Misty Mountain Farm at Maryland was absolutely beautiful and washed up wonderfully. I can't wait to card it and spin it. There was hardly any vegetable matter as the sheep was covered. The fiber is so soft and the color is absolutely beautiful. As soon as I get a substantial amount carded up, I will put a picture up.
That's it for now.
