I'm knitting . . . honest
I'm knitting, honestly. Check out my works in progress section. Just don't have photos of the FOs yet. I finished a baby sweater for a 1-2 year old, adapted a pattern I found in a prior magazine with a lace pattern in a different pattern. Figures. I have been knitting a few projects with Lion Brand Yarn. They are coming out with some really nice yarn now. Much better than just acrylic or the old Wool-Ease!
I used Polarspun, color Purple Passion for the baby sweater. It was the first time I had to put a zipper in. The little one is only 7.5 months old right now though, so she has a ways to go. It was a nice fast knit though!
I also started a lap robe/shawl for my mother-in-law. It is in Wool-Ease Sportweight in Blue Mist. The color is a really beautiful heather with reds, yellows, and greens in the blue. Very nice. Should make a lovely lap/shawl for my ML. I chose to do it in the feather and fan pattern, a simple and fast pattern that looks sophisticated as well. It is looking lovely right now, but I only have an inch on it, so no pictures on it for now. Maybe when I am in CA I will take an updated picture of it and post it up on-line. That's right CA.
I'm going home to visit my family (parents, brother's family, grandmother, and cousins). Wheee! Hubby is staying to guard the cats, er, feed the cats. :-) My beautiful little niece is growing up so fast and I have to see her. She is at the a fun stage, the moving around stage, the getting into mischief stage. She is standing and starting to walk already and I am missing it! But I'll get to see the little one soon! Yipeee!
Pictures galore for me too! I'm taking my digital camera along with my laptop so I can quickly download pictures on it.
I also finished another skein of my rainbow yarn and the person who dyed my fiber is going to dye me some more so I don't run out on this vest. Yeah for her. She did a wonderful job with the first roving. I can't wait to see the second roving. Now, I just have to dye up the contrasting color for the vest!
Okay, next time I hope to have pictures!
Happy fibering!
